From the Author: This story is part of the “The Last Frontier” trilogy and tells the story of Kane’s youth and his acquaintance with Isabel. The plot of the story wandered in my head for more than a year, and reached the point where I needed to transfer it to paper. The “Frontier trilogy” itself will be presented to the public when I am satisfied with the result. But, if this story is popular enough, and readers have a desire to see a continuation, then I may well write one or two more stories telling about the adventures of young Kane, thereby forming a full-fledged novel from them.
