The book provides an overview of the concept of the French thinker Henri Bergson (1859–1941), a classic of Western philosophy of the 20th century, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature (1927). The evolution of A. Bergson's views is examined in detail - from philosophical psychology, developed in early works, to the ethical-religious concept set out in “Two Sources of Morality and Religion” (1932); Some aspects of the reception of Bergson's teachings in Russia at the end of the 19th century and the first two decades of the 20th century are considered. The book, containing elements of the genre of philosophical biography, uses new factual material. The Appendix contains a translation of two works by Bergson, published for the first time in Russian. The binding design uses paintings by W. Turner. The publishing layout is preserved in a4.pdf format.
