The book was written over 18 years, from 1986 to 2004, so it was born when I was already an adult. It is a tribute to the memory of the dead city of Pripyat, which became a real homeland for the author. The book is written in a bright, rich and very unexpected language, causing delight among some and rejection among others; it closely intertwines fact and fiction, humor and tragedy, laughter and sadness.
