Memoirs of art dealers

(including for Apple and Android)
For the first time, the memoirs of two famous Parisian Marchands and art dealers are published under one cover. Paul Durand-Ruel (1831–922), who inherited his father’s business, was the first to actively buy works of the Impressionists, advertise and sell them, and Ambroise Vollard (1866–939) became, perhaps, the first widely known and prosperous art dealer of the 20th century. These people, very different, are united by their main professional qualities: dedication to art and business sense, the ability to take risks, which allowed them both, each in their own way, to influence the development of art and make a fortune from buying and selling “new art” at that time , when it was just beginning to turn into a big international business. The book also includes a foreword by Doctor of Art History M. Yu. German and an annotated index.
