Nina Shatskaya-Filatova (1940–2021) is an Honored Artist of Russia, who has many roles in theater and cinema. With Yuri Lyubimov, she played in the plays “The Good Man from Szechwan”, “Comrade, Believe”, “The Master and Margarita”, “Tartuffe” and others. From films she is known for her roles in “Welcome, or No Trespassing”, “Emergency Assignment”, “Visit to the Minotaur”... This book consists of two memoirs of the actress - “Sorry... goodbye, Taganka!” and “Biography of Love.” The Taganka Theater became a second home for Nina Shatskaya, determined her creative destiny, and gave her wonderful colleagues and friends. Among them are Vladimir Vysotsky, Alla Demidova, Veniamin Smekhov, Felix Antipov... She also left wonderful pages of memories about her husband, with whom she began to work here, Valery Zolotukhin. In this theater she met the talented artist Leonid Filatov - he was destined to become her second husband. They were connected not only by passionate love, but also by kinship of souls, a common interest in theater, cinema, and literature. And she spoke in a fascinating and detailed manner about the brilliant actor, poet, author of the beloved fairy tale “About Fedot the Archer...”, as well as about the almost twenty-year life of the Theater, tickets for which were bought in advance, and all performances were always sold out.
