Ziantha was a descendant of the Terrans. No one knew from what world the whirlwind of the universal war had thrown her into the slums of Dipple. Now she works for a union of thieves and is fulfilling an order to find information that can be sold at a profit. All the technical achievements of the union are at Zianta’s service, and the operation goes well. But Ziantha’s attention is attracted by a nondescript, dried-out stone, or a lump of clay, and now she is tormented by doubt: is there something incomparably more valuable than the promised reward left behind the door.
