The Long Note by Daniel Orlov is both a family saga and an urban novel. The action covers the period from the end of the war to the present day, telling about the fate of the Russian woman Tatyana and her children. The heroes of the work are contemporaries of today's forty-year-olds and peers of their parents, living their seemingly ordinary lives as part of the country's history... The origin of coordinates for all three plot lines of the novel was the Big Solovetsky Island.
