Five adventurers decide to form the Society of the Blind, a charity dedicated to helping people with disabilities. In addition to the main task, of course, it should help our heroes launder and increase their savings. But when you aim for a position at the top of the social ladder, you should expect that there will be much more of the same adventurers here than among ordinary people...Perhaps one of the main advantages of the play is that, despite the genre, it is much more typical for cinema than for the theater, it is truly scenic. Hamilton manages not only to build the intricate twists and turns that are an integral part of the genre, but also to write no less intricate and witty dialogue between characters, allowing him to reduce the number of physical actions required for cinema, and focus on the intricacies of the characters themselves, their speech games and acting within the plot itself . All this makes the play one of the best examples of this genre, moreover, completely adapted for the stage. The mysterious Greg Hamilton is a member of the US Dramatists Guild, a native of the post-Soviet space, capable of surprising not only with his colorful pseudonym, but also with his non-standard dramaturgy. Non-standard, starting from the very themes of his plays: there are also excellent examples of adventurous drama, created on a truly American scale, but in Russian. There are also those that are closer to docudrama.
