The collective scientific work "Europe of Saints. Social, political and cultural aspects of holiness in the Middle Ages" is the fruit of the research work of scientists from Russia, Hungary and Ukraine, studying the political, cultural and social aspects of the history of holiness and the cults of saints in the West and East Europe in the Middle Ages and early modern times. Folklorists, philologists and art historians, as well as specialists in the history of not only the Western European Middle Ages, but also Ancient Rus', Byzantium and the Christian East were invited to participate in the preparation of this book.
