The novel “Children of Voinov” is a family saga for adults, but told from the perspective of a little boy. The center of the story is a communal apartment on Voinova Street, in which several generations live at once. The story is endlessly touching, ironic, filled with love for a large friendly family, for St. Petersburg, then still Leningrad. The book is dedicated to grandparents, mothers and fathers, neighbors and relatives, to the country in which we once lived and which is no longer there.
