The book you are holding in your hands is about Love, about the greatness of the human spirit, about selflessness in a moment of danger and about many other things that really exist in our lives. Readers will encounter the amazing world of the circus, its life, people, and way of life. The writer used drawings from life. There is no fiction here, and if there is, then very little. “The Last Horse” is a kind of continuation of the previously written story “Heart in Sawdust.” The action takes place in the late eighties of the last century. The main characters of the story will again be Pashka Zharkikh, Valentina, Zakharych and others. Many of the characters are real, some are invented, or rather copied from someone. The author’s main task was to show not the front side of the circus that the viewer sees at the performance, but the world behind the scenes, the experiences of people who gave their lives to this craft. Some will think that this book is not about the circus at all, and he will be right. The circus is just a point of contact with the world around us, which is changing. Some universal human values are becoming increasingly rare. But there are things that remain unchanged at all times, on which our mortal world rests. Perhaps that is why the book is called “The Last Horse”... You can send reviews of the book to the author’s e-mail: [email protected]
