“If people are exposed to danger from a source of which they are unaware, if they are led astray by those whom they consider friends, is it wrong to warn them about it? They may not want to believe this warning, perhaps even be offended. But does that absolve us from the moral responsibility to issue this warning?” (The Watchtower Magazine, January 15, 1974). Life is unpredictable, and when a person dies, everything he knew dies with him—unless he will not pass on this knowledge during my lifetime. This book was written out of a sense of duty to the people whom I sincerely love. I can say with a clear conscience that it is not intended to offend, but to help. If something written is painful to read, then it was just as painful to write. I hope that the reader will understand that the search for truth should not destroy faith, that every effort to know and hold the truth will not destroy, but will strengthen the foundation of true faith. What those who read this information will do is up to them to decide for themselves. At least this will be said and moral obligations will be fulfilled.
