This book is a direct continuation of “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings” by J. R. R. Tolkien. Several years have passed since the War of the Ring. The Dark Lord was finally defeated, and his countless armies were defeated. It seemed that lasting peace had finally reigned in Middle-earth. But... suddenly the wind of change blew again from somewhere. And so mysterious thieves appeared in Erebor, and daring killers began to operate in the Shire in broad daylight.
