The problem book includes both standard calculation problems and non-standard problems of increased complexity; assignments and exercises that develop students’ learning skills, creative and analytical abilities. The problems are grouped by topics studied in the 8th grade of basic school, in order of increasing complexity: from simple calculations to search Olympiads. Thematic tests are provided at the end of each chapter. The last (ninth chapter) contains algorithms for solving typical problems.

A large number of different tasks allows the teacher to use them differentiatedly, taking into account the preparation and desire of the students, and the students to organize their own activities.
