The book by the famous Yakut local historian A.G. Chikachev is dedicated to the history of sled dog breeding in the North. It refers to the traditional occupations of the indigenous population of the Arctic, which made it possible to develop a vast territory with extreme natural and climatic conditions. At one time, transport and commercial dog breeding played a large role in the system of human life in the North.
