“The East Is Red” is a continuation of the “Sea Wolf” series, the story of the Voronezh nuclear submarine in 1942. “Russia has often succeeded in winning wars, but much less often has it succeeded in winning peace.” Six years have passed since the Victory that happened in this world in 1944. There will be no Korean War in this world because there is only one Korea, the DPRK. But in 1950, the war in China is still ongoing, and Mao, Chiang Kai Shek, and, of course, the United States are sharpening their teeth on Soviet Manchuria. Here, the atomic mushrooms did not have time to grow over Hiroshima and Nagasaki - and the first atomic bombs would be dropped on China. But the USSR has something worthy to answer!
