Gilad Atzmon, saxophonist and author of fiery political articles, radical contemporary philosopher and writer, born and raised in Israel, lives and works in London. He calls himself a Hebrew-speaking Palestinian. My favorite pastime is exposing the myths of our time. This grotesque novel deals with the supposedly invulnerable Israeli intelligence and the Israelis' inescapable desire to feel like persecuted victims. Atzmon does with the myth of the Mossad what Pelevin did with the Soviet cosmonautics in the story "Omon Ra", and caricatures of figures of Israeli history - from David Ben Gurion to Ariel Sharon - can compete with Count Khrushchev and Stalin from Vladimir's Blue Fat Sorokina.
