Publisher's abstract: This book is a description of the combat operations of the 6th Finnish Regiment during the World War when the author was the commander of this regiment. The value of the book lies in the life details that permeate its entire content. In addition to his memory, the author used materials available in our archives and, without pursuing embellishment of reality, tried to present the positive and negative aspects of events with the impartiality possible for the participant. The book provides rich material for a clear understanding of how military operations actually take place, how high-level operational considerations are implemented, and the difficult environment in which small bosses have to work. The book is intended for wide distribution among the command staff of the Red Army.
