The first book by Janusz L. Wisniewski, “Loneliness on the Internet,” became a European superbestseller. In the fall of 2006, a film adaptation of the novel was released, and in the first month of release in Poland, the film overtook all Hollywood new releases in box office receipts. In his new romance, Vishnevsky, with his usual subtlety, tells the story of two people - this time about dedication and sacrifice, about the choice between love and loneliness. Creating a modern family saga, Vishnevsky remains faithful to the familiar admiration for science and knowledge in “Loneliness on the Net” - he spies and analyzes the world from different perspectives in search of an answer to the most important, from his point of view, question: how to correctly live the life given to us only once? Casual relationships should not be the reason for the collapse of strong families... Is this Vishnevsky’s point of view? Maybe yes. There is a world full of possibilities, and you can fill it with love. But then - the unknown. The characters love each other even after meeting, but remain lonely. Tears and suffering, sublime feelings, ultimately – broken and wise hearts. And there are also many stories-insets, so that the novel sometimes resembles in design “The Manuscript Found in Zaragoza”...

For Vishnevsky, new love evokes ghosts from the past, but life measuredly and casually puts everything in its place, and all the tears shed over the book suddenly freeze in a lump in the throat.
