The author of the manual is Klim Timofeevich Sulimov, Candidate of Biological Sciences, leading researcher at the Center for Military and Maritime Heritage of the Russian Research Institute of Cultural and Natural Sciences heritage named after D. S. Likhacheva. The first part of the book contains the history of forensic odology and scientifically based methods of training and using scent detector dogs, tested by many years of expert practice, in identifying an individual based on the traces of his fixed individual odor, establishing group personality traits, determining the time of formation of an individual’s odor traces and olfactory analysis of material evidence. .The second part is intended for inspectors, management personnel, as well as aviation security canine crews, and contains methods for the training and use of service search dogs. The recommendations reflect the experience of reproduction and practical use of jackal-dog bastards (shalaika breed group) and have 10 appendices.
