Eighteen years ago, Erhard radically changed his life: he left his wife and children in his native Denmark and went to one of the Canary Islands. He settled in a poor shepherd's hut far from people, for which the locals nicknamed him the Hermit, worked as a taxi driver and piano tuner, and suffered from loneliness and his own inferiority. One day, a dead baby was found in a car abandoned on the beach. This terrible discovery and the new crimes that followed it shocked Erhard so much that he decided to find those responsible for the crime at any cost. From that moment on, life took on meaning for him, he forgot about his problems, hardly ate or slept, even the threat of being destroyed did not stop him.
