Reading Dilyara Tasbulatova’s short stories, you will not just laugh, but cry with laughter. Why dont know. By the way, I also don’t know why people laugh when they read Dovlatov. Or Zoshchenko. Or Taffy. I’m not talking now about Dilyara’s similarities with any of these authors, but about the living and recognizable tradition of laughter in Russian literature, which continues through her stories. We become better people when we read her swashbuckling stories. Maybe because we laugh with all our hearts and remember in this way that we have it? Anna Berseneva, writer
