Larry Niven (pseudonym of Lawrence Van Cott Niven) is a famous American science fiction writer. From his first published works (L. Niven debuted with the story “The Coldest Place” in 1964), the writer established a reputation as a master who skillfully combines the absolute “scientific validity” of his own fantastic constructions with the commercial requirements of adventure fiction.
