The monograph highlights the key moments of the socio-political development of Pskov in the 11th–14th centuries. in the context of its relationship with the Novgorod Republic. In the first part of the study, the author examines the history of Pskov chronicles and reconstructs the initial Pskov corpus of the 50s of the 14th century; in the second and third parts, based on the studied source base, he analyzes the socio-political processes in medieval Pskov. An original interpretation of facts and events is proposed on many controversial and little-studied issues of North-Western Rus'.
