The backstory of this book is as follows: I suggested reading “The Adventures of Pinocchio” to my nine-year-old daughter, but she made such eyes filled with horror and disgust that it became clear that Tolstoy’s “Pinocchio” is complete crap for a second-grader who has watched enough anime.
