Misfit. In Mass Effect. In EDI. I was inspired to write this fic by many different factors. Undoubtedly, an important role was played by both the pleasure of the game and the disappointment from the stupid ending (however, a forceful solution there would have looked even more illogical), and, of course, the creativity of other ficwriters (many thanks to them for hours of interesting reading!), and desire answer (at least for myself) some technical questions... Now, having finished the text and looking back, I can say that it has enough shortcomings and it would be worth redoing it, but I won’t do this, because it doesn’t matter. Yes, a lot of rivets, merciless in their soullessness. Yes, many plot threads are abandoned and broken. Yes, the humor is lame in places. Yes, there are plenty of mistakes (both honestly inherited from the canon and gaming conventions, and carefully introduced). However, the text is finished and will remain as is. I hope you enjoy it! well, at least in some places...
