Almost at the same time, events occur that seem to be in no way connected with each other: a ferry sailing from Norway to England crashes in the North Sea, and in the city of Aberdeen two mysterious murders of women occur, committed as if in accordance with some something terrible ritual. Автор вдало поєднує елементи детективу та психологічного трилера, створюючи напружену атмосферу, яка тримає в напрузі до самого кінця. Події, що розгортаються одночасно в Північному морі та Абердіні, спочатку здаються абсолютно не пов'язаними, але поступово все починає складатися в єдину картину, що вражає своєю логікою та несподіваністю. Особливо сподобалася робота детектива Кейт Бошам, яка проявляє неабияку рішучість та винахідливість у розслідуванні. Кожен новий поворот сюжету додає інтриги, а фінал виявляється справжнім шоком. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить детективи з елементами містики та психології!
