“What I Didn’t See” is a provocative work of the intermediate genre, drawing on fantasy, horror, mysticism, historical adventure prose, feminist literature and at times echoing scientific fantasy. The story was first published in the online magazine SCI Fiction and undoubtedly became one of the best stories of the year.
