J. Fast, in his book “Body Language,” collected and summarized research data from the new science of “kinesthetics,” which studies the behavioral manifestations of wordless communication between people. Body language is any movement of the body or part of it with the help of which a person conveys an emotional message to the outside world. In order to understand this unexpressed body language, kinesics practitioners often have to take into account cultural differences or other differences caused by the environment. The average person, unfamiliar with these subtleties of body language, often misinterprets what he sees.
