Natalie and Babs are best friends. It was always like this, from early childhood, but one day a catastrophe happened: noisy, cheerful and faithful Babs did something terrible - she got married. What should you do if your best and only friend solemnly swears her eternal love for a stranger? How to live on if you have continuous problems with this damned eternal love? After the “betrayal” of her friend Natalie, it seems that her life is over. She's always been a good girl, but now she's getting into trouble. The dubious love story she plunges into makes Natalie lose control of her life. Rejoicing in her bad behavior, Natalie stubbornly ignores the truth: about her new boyfriend, about her best friend’s marriage, about the culinary exploits of her beloved mother, and most importantly, about herself. Her outer shell of a good girl is cracking at the seams, and Natalie commits one impossible act after another. She completely refuses to eat, considering herself outrageously fat; she creates scandals for her family, to whom she has never said a single bad word; she spits on the work that she valued so much. But trying to escape from yourself, even if you start the race in your most elegant stilettos, is doomed to failure. Anna Maxted wrote a very modern comedy that mixes female friendship, love, diet and Pilates.
