The author himself calls the genre in which the stories included in this book are written “film stories.” They were written at different times and were all intended exclusively for cinema. But, as you know, filmmaking is a complex and unpredictable business. I mean, no one can guarantee whether a film will ever be made based on this script or whether what was written will lie dormant for years under a layer of warm dust. Noyabrev believes that he was partly lucky - two stories have already become the basis for two completed projects: “Chronicles of a Drowned Man” became the basis for the film “Thirteen Months” (2008), and “The Return of the Prodigal Father” was realized in a film of the same name (2009 G.). Time will tell what the fate of the others will be. However, we will consider that the reader is also lucky - he already has the opportunity to get acquainted with these unusual stories.
