Near the colonial town of Essenwald lies the Worr, a huge – perhaps endless – forest. This is the place of angels and demons, warriors and priests. Sentient and magical, Vorr is capable of warping time and erasing memories. Legends say that the Garden of Eden still exists in its heart. And now the former English soldier wants to become the first person to cross the Warr from end to end. Armed only with a strange bow made from the bones and sinews of his dead lover, he begins his journey, but someone fears the consequences and hires an Aboriginal gunslinger to stop the wanderer. And against the backdrop of this collision unfolds the stories of a Cyclops raised by strange robots, a young girl whose curiosity fatally changes her life, and historical figures such as the French writer Raymond Roussel and the photographer Eadweard Muybridge. Fact and fiction are mixed together, hunters turn into victims, and the fate of everyone depends only on the mysterious will of Vorr.
