Gift edition of the bestseller by modern philosopher Ken Wilber. The book shows the way to rethinking the religion of the future through the integration of the time-tested spiritual wisdom of all humanity and the current scientific knowledge accumulated over the past 100 years - about the psyche and stages of mental development, states of consciousness and brain, factors in the evolution of social and cultural formations.

The idea of a unified theory that unites different schools of study of consciousness has attracted outstanding minds in all eras - from Plato and Aristotle to Thomas Aquinas, Hegel and V.S. Solovyova. Ken Wilber, an integral theorist and one of the most famous philosophers of our time, believes that we will come to such a unifying vision when we carry out a synthesis of all the disciplines of our activity and knowledge in within the framework of a multi-level four-quadrant model. His integral 4-quadrant approach pays tribute to each area of human activity (psychology and spirituality, cultural studies, anthropology, neurophysiology, sociology, economics, technology, etc.) while making it possible to sense their limited place in a comprehensive frame of reference.

We do not remain within the framework of one narrow view, but form a panoramic worldview that covers the entire horizon of history and all cosmoplanetary processes. We are also learning to apply centuries-old and cutting-edge practices of transforming consciousness, behavior and society in order to increase goodness, beauty and truth in our lives and in the world as a whole.

It is unlikely that you will agree with everything that is written here, yes this shouldn't be the case do. Unlike many purely theoretical frameworks, Wilber's integral metatheory exists not to be believed, but to be placed on top of our experience and reveal patterns that we might not otherwise see.

< p>Today in science there is a turn towards studying the nature of consciousness, including its spiritual aspects (as evidenced, for example, by the boom in research into the practices of meditation and contemplation, including their neurobiological aspects). And therefore, more than ever before, we need a new integral metatheory (more precisely, metapractice), which will question existing cultures not only when they are incapable of communicating outside of violence, prejudice or fixation on economic indicators, but also when they are unable to open us the path to genuine Wholeness - sincere post-pluralistic, post-postmodern stages of development, overcoming the fragmented fragmentation and parochialism of the post-truth era.

It is Wilber’s integral approach that offers such tools necessary for understanding the Universe and deep psycho-spiritual transformation that meets the challenges of our time.

Join a journey with one of the most important modern thinkers through the fascinating nature of Being.

Who is this book for

For anyone interested in the structure of the world and human nature, who feels that religious maxims and scientific discoveries are not opposed to each other, but mutually reveal and complement each other.

From the author

This book is devoted to the consideration of one of the possible options for religion in the near future. The ideas expressed here apply to all the great traditions. I am confident that they will at some point incorporate many of the elements described here into their fundamental teachings. This will happen simply because the forces leading to such an outcome are unusually diverse and large-scale. In fairness, I note: when conceptualized, they are indeed very convincing.

We have already witnessed the emergence of such disciplines as integral medicine, integral education, integral psychotherapy, integral architecture, integral business, economics and leadership. In total, more than 60 disciplines take advantage of the integral approach. And in fact, in every great tradition there are teachers who have included it in their teachings, including many “integral Buddhists.”

Various teachers in all the great traditions have already begun to use this approach, but in this work I decided to turn to the example of Buddhism to show concrete manifestations of the ideas in question.< /p>

I invite you to methodically review the data, facts, and research presented in this book, paying particular attention to how they can be applied to any of the spiritual awakening systems. I will use Buddhism as an example, but my recommendations apply to all traditions. I also ask you to remember that we are not taking anything away from traditions. We are not talking about the painful eradication of some truths to which we are accustomed. We propose to make additions, and in a way that is fully compatible with existing ones fundamental truths and doctrines of any tradition. And this is possible for all beliefs, as many of the teachers who have applied the integral approach in each of the world's traditions have already shown.

We are on the threshold of first an integral and then a super-integral revolutionary transformation. But we frankly lack general cultural, conventional, widespread knowledge and understanding of both the general stages of development in general and the stages of spiritual development in particular. We are deprived of the true and all-encompassing God. If there were ever a time when we truly need a real God or Goddess or Spirit, it is today.

It's time to start rebuilding the world! The reorganization and rethinking of the world is the reorganization and rethinking of your Self and its deep suchness, present even now; that is why you have the opportunity to take on this outstanding task!
