The basic principles and capabilities of the ASP.NET MVC Framework technology are reviewed and ways of its practical use in developing web applications are shown. The advantages of the MVC development approach are described and the structure of an MVC application is considered. A comparison of WebForms and MVC Framework technologies is provided and issues of their combination are considered. The model and data access (LINQ technologies, Entity Framework, etc.), controllers, presentation and application interface, routing mechanisms and Ajax functionality are described.
