The modern Argentine writer Claudia Pinheiro has fans in different countries, she is read in different languages. Pinheiro's success is also facilitated by the fact that her best books have been filmed, including the novels “Yours” and “Widows on Thursdays.” The action of “Widows on Thursdays” (the novel won the Clarin Prize, the jury of which was headed by Nobel laureate Jose Saramago) takes place in an “elite” village located near Buenos Aires. Rich people live here, confident in themselves and in their future. Here they created a “green paradise” for themselves, separating themselves from the rest of the world with a high fence. It seems to them that they have everything for happiness - and it is measured by the size of the house, the level of comfort, brands of clothing, number of cars, etc. When they get here, they seem to forget about the past and would like to forget about what is happening around them. However, reality reminds itself in the most cruel way. Families are destroyed, destinies are destroyed - sometimes the outcome is unexpected and tragic.
