The book of stories and short stories “Notes of a Boston Taxi Driver” by Evgeniy Bukhin, a poet, prose writer and engineer, depicts different aspects of American life with gentle humor. The author considers himself an American writer, since he began writing on American soil and his works are translated into English. He uses a unique literary device, appearing on the pages of the book either as a taxi driver or a car mechanic, or as an engineer or writer. The originality of the book is often expressed in the fact that real life pictures are combined with postmodern motifs. The works of Evgeny Bukhin are distinguished by significant merits, as evidenced by more than forty publications in magazines in the USA, Russia and Ukraine, as well as two awards from the Forward newspaper (New York ) for the best literary publications of the year.
