Pilot of the attack air regiment Alexey Zhuravlev, after treatment in the hospital, rushes to the front with all his might to take to the skies on the legendary Il-2, although he was born decades after the Great Victory over Germany. What force brought the humble industrial engineer to stormy November 1941 – no matter! Alexey does not want to sit deep in the rear, although he has the right to do so after being wounded, and immediately chooses the deadly profession of an attack aircraft, usually “living above the battlefield” with only two flights in order to somehow help the Red Army Air Force close the gap in its ranks after huge losses in the summer battles.
