No army in history has won so many battles or captured such vast territories. Immediately after the suspension of the offensive in the Pacific theater of operations, the Japanese were forced to go on the defensive, for which Japan was prepared tactically, but not strategically. For the next three years, the Japanese defended the captured territories with incredible tenacity, which shocked everyone who was forced to fight with them. But in the end they had to give in. This book is the second part of Philip Jowett's research. It focuses on the organization, uniforms, and insignia of the Japanese Army from 1942-1945. The text is accompanied by unique illustrations. Detailed color illustrations by Stephen Andrew introduce the reader to the different types of uniforms. The book is addressed to a wide range of readers interested in the history of the army and military uniforms.
