The story “The Adventures of Joop Rosendaal” was conceived as a fascinating children's fairy tale. The action of the story takes place in Germany, on the real-life uninhabited island of the “Mouse Tower”, which is in the middle reaches of the Rhine. The purpose of the book is to show children Good and Evil, exploits and cowardice, selflessness and greed. In “Adventures,” the author tried to avoid two troubles of many modern books: a complete lack of moral guidelines and, on the contrary, excessive edification. The plot of the book is truly captivating, makes you completely immerse yourself in what is happening, and thereby think about the actions of the characters and give them your assessment. The author really wanted his book to become truly family-friendly. And it seems he has every reason to expect success.
