Among the heroes of the book are famous names such as Nikolai Gumilyov and Anna Akhmatova, and lesser-known but bright talents who were executed and perished on the islands of the Gulag. The book is the result of the author’s many years of work on this topic, which is also the subject of his other books - “Slaves” Freedom" (Moscow, 1995) and "Denunciation of Socrates" (Moscow, 2001). The publication is illustrated with rare archival photographs and documents.
