In the novel “Still Life with a Clock” (2000), Laszlo Blaszkowicz (b. 1966), already familiar to the reader from the novel “The Necklace of the Madonna” (M., Rudomino Book Center, 2016), in his characteristic poetic manner talks about the tragic fate the outstanding Serbian artist Bogdan Suput (1914–1942), refracted in the fate of his model and casting a light on our contemporaries, about the problem of choice and responsibility for it.
