The book got its name from the word "treba", which in the Old Russian language meant "sacrifice", "sacrifice", "prayer", "performance of a sacred rite". Currently, the word "treba" refers to prayers and sacred rites performed at the request (according to the needs) of one or more Christians in the special circumstances of their lives.The first part contains the following of the Sacraments: Baptism, Confirmation, Wedding (Marriage ), Consecration of the Unction, Repentance - and other Divine services. With these prayers, the Orthodox Church meets a person at his birth, sanctifies his life and admonishes him when he passes into eternity. In addition, this part of the Rib Book contains three additional chapters, which contain the Menologion, an index of the names of saints in alphabetical order and Paschal.The second part of the Rib Book contains prayers of various liturgical and religious rituals.
