Edgar Pangborn (1909-1976) made his debut in science fiction late, in 1951, and wrote very little in this genre - however, he forever remained in the history of American and world science fiction as one of its brightest and most original representatives. Suffice it to say, that the most famous of Pangborn’s works, the novel “A Mirror for Observers,” was awarded the International Science Fiction Prize - “in company” with “The City” by Simak and “The Lord of the Rings” by Tolkien.
