Irenius von Eibl-Eibesfeldt (Irenäus Eibl-Eibesfeldt, b. 1928) - Austrian ethologist. Student of K. Lorenz. He worked in the field of evolution of behavior, developed a new direction in ethology - human ethology. He studied facial expressions and expression of emotions, peculiarities of perception and their manifestations in art among representatives of ethnic groups. Eibl-Eibesfeldt considered the most important areas of research in human ethology to be observations of the development of children in impoverished and enriched conditions. He planned to compare these data with similar ones obtained on animals. Wikipedia Source: Human ethology on the threshold of the 21st century: new data and old problems. / Rep. ed. M.L.
