Francesco Piccolo is a prose writer, novelist, author of scripts for two dozen films and television series, winner of one of the most prestigious literary awards - the Strega Prize - and the no less prestigious film award "David di Donatello". After the resounding success of the book "Minutes of Everyday Happiness" he continued to work in the same genre of cheerful mosaic, this time choosing everyday “misfortunes” as his object, in other words, everything that in everyday life can annoy a modern person. Funny moments of bad luck, memories of love failures and witty observations add up to a new collage novel about true events from the author’s life. He talks about all his “misfortunes” with humor and Italian cheerfulness. In 2019, the film “Minutes of Everyday Happiness” directed by D. Lucchetti, based on plots from both twin books, was released.
