The Norwegian writer Anne-Katharina Westli, who came up with stories about a house where eight boys and girls grow up at once, is popular throughout Europe, probably no less than the famous Astrid Lindgren. The heroes of her books are simple, but very nice people: kind, honest, hardworking. Adults here do not lose the ability to treat themselves and each other with humor, no matter what lessons life teaches them. And most importantly, they understand their children amazingly well and retain this understanding, no matter what they do and no matter what else they come up with. The book you will read consists of five slightly abbreviated stories about the life of a large family - father, mother, grandmother, eight children and a truck. The drawings for it were made by the Norwegian artist Johan Westli, so now you will see the heroes of this book as Norwegian readers saw them many years ago.
