A prominent representative of the Silver Age of Russian culture, until recently he remained in the shadow of his famous contemporaries, although he was in the thick of the intellectual life of the century of revolutionary upheavals and wars, which affected his fate. Durylin’s prose and poetry, some scientific works have lain in the archives for many decades and only today come to the reader. In his country house in Bolshevo (now there is a memorial museum) Sergiy Durylin spiritually nourished many outstanding cultural figures of the Soviet era who came to him. The author of the book by V. N. Toropova, laureate of the S. N.
