We bring to the attention of readers the memoirs of David Solomonovich Shor, a brilliant pianist, teacher, public figure, who was one of the significant figures of the Russian Zionist movement at the turn of the century, are part of the archive of the Shor family, transferred in 1978 to the National and University Library of Jerusalem for storage by Nadezhda Rafailovna Shore. A number of texts and letters were selected for the book, covering the period until approximately 1918, which corresponds to the first, pre-revolutionary period of Shor’s life, the longest and most fruitful in his life. Materials from the Shor family archive and from the manuscripts department of the National and University Library were used as illustrations Jerusalem (4° 1521), as well as from the books of Shor N.
