The third book in the “History of Religion” series introduces the reader to the mysterious world of Eastern religions. Its author, Alexander Men (1935-1990), is convinced that one should get acquainted with the ancient teachings of India and China not from the fabrications of European theosophical compilers, but from the primary sources: the Confucian canon and the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita and Buddhist sutras.
