In the new novel by Denis Dragunsky, “The Rich Man and His Actor,” the hero, as in a fairy tale, in exchange for fame and money, gives... himself, his personality. A very rich man decides to make a grandiose film, where the main character is himself. The conditions are outlined, a talented performer is selected. The artist is so deeply immersed in the fate of the billionaire, in all the vicissitudes of his life, difficult family dramas, that he literally becomes him, right down to the external similarity - they begin to be confused. But filming ends, the festival noise subsides, and the Oscar-winning star remains what he was: a poor actor. And then he wants to take revenge for his lost human self...
